Kanye West, legally known as Ye, added another major property to his real-estate portfolio when he purchased a sprawling mansion in Beverly Hills for a reported $35 million in October 2024.
The compound is located inside North Beverly Park, one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive gated communities. Property records cited by Realtor.com indicated that the deal happened off-market and was completed through an LLC.
A Nearly Seven-Acre Celebrity Compound
The estate stretches across approximately 6.79 acres and offers around 20,000 square feet of interior living space.
Its reported specifications include:
11 bedrooms 18 bathrooms A resort-style swimming pool A separate lap pool A pool house A private paddle-tennis court A guest residence An entertainment pavilion
The main residence sits at the center of the grounds, surrounded by mature landscaping, tall palm trees and large outdoor entertaining areas.
The Architecture Makes It Stand Out
Rather than following the traditional European-inspired style found across many Beverly Park properties, the mansion uses a more modern architectural language.
Its exterior combines curved white walls, cylindrical glass sections, oversized windows and open-air pathways. Inside, high ceilings and expansive glass panels create a strong connection between the rooms, gardens and pool area.
One of the property’s most recognizable elements is an exposed steel-columned bridge connecting the main house to a multilevel guest residence and entertainment pavilion. The unusual structure runs above the driveway and acts as one of the compound’s defining visual features.
The home was commissioned by mathematician Norman Zada and designed by architect Richard Landry, whose firm has created large-scale residences for numerous high-profile clients. The property was reportedly completed around 2000.
Built for Resort-Style Living
The outdoor area feels closer to a private hotel than a conventional backyard.
A large central pool is surrounded by lounge seating, shaded entertaining areas and linear fire features. Elsewhere on the property are a second swimming pool, a pool house, landscaped courtyards and a dedicated sports court.
Architectural Digest reported that the wider estate also contains a waterfall pool, gazebo and entertainment pavilion, giving the compound multiple spaces for hosting guests away from the main residence.
Inside the Main Residence
Listing photographs reveal bright, open interiors dominated by white walls, natural wood details and large sections of glass.
The main living space features a vaulted ceiling and opens toward the terrace and pool. Curved architectural elements continue throughout the property, including within the bedrooms, hallways and spa areas.
The primary suite has direct access to an outdoor terrace, while a circular tiled spa overlooks the surrounding gardens through a series of tall windows.
The $35 Million Deal
The estate had previously sold for approximately $24.5 million in 2022 before Ye reportedly acquired it for $35 million two years later.
At approximately $1,750 per square foot, the purchase represented a major return to the Los Angeles luxury-property market following the controversial sale of Ye’s Tadao Ando-designed Malibu house.
That Malibu property was purchased for $57.25 million in 2021 but later sold for $21 million after extensive alterations and stalled construction work.
Another Chapter in Ye’s Design Story
Ye has long used architecture, fashion and interior design as extensions of his creative identity. His homes have often attracted attention for extreme minimalism, unconventional renovation plans and collaborations with notable designers.
The Beverly Park property is considerably more polished and resort-like than his stripped-back Malibu project, but its curved forms, geometric structures and monumental scale still make it distinct.
